Virtual Speaking Event: Halifax for the Rick Hansen Foundation School Program

Started my day this morning with a virtual presentation on identity and disability inclusion to a class of grade 6 students just outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia - my first out-of-province talk as part of the Rick Hansen Foundation school program!

I looked back on my talk statistics today, since this talk is likely my last of the school season, and realized that I've spoken to over 3,350 K-12 students through all my RHFSP presentations this school year!

Which feels so cool, considering I grew up with almost no disability representation when I was in school 🥹

Little Lauren would be (and tbh, present-Lauren still is) absolutely floored. So thankful to the team at the Rick Hansen Foundation for their support! 🎉✨
